PH Embassy in Israel Conducts Consular Outreach in Haifa

23 November 2017, Israel – The Philippine Embassy in Israel held a Consular Outreach in Haifa on 18 November 2017 to provide passport, notarial, and OWWA services in coordination with the Filipino Workers’ Association (FWA) in Haifa.

The consular team served over 100 clients during the half-day outreach, processing 52 passport applications, 34 notarial documents, 72 applications for OWWA membership, and releasing 37 new passports and 4 voter’s IDs.

The team also conducted a Post-Arrival Orientation Seminar (PAOS) to 112 Filipino workers, in coordination with the Israeli OFW Association (IOA). In the seminar, Consul General Randy Arquiza gave a briefing on PH-Israel relations and consular services provided by the Embassy. Labor Attaché Rodolfo Gabasan presented an overview of the basic rights and obligations of workers in Israel. Welfare Officer Cornelia Chanco made a comprehensive briefing on the various programs and services offered by OWWA.
