2016 Overseas Voting in Israel Starts, Israel X Factor Champion Casts First Vote


X Factor Israel Grand Champion Rose "Osang" Fostanes is the first to cast a vote on the first day
of the 2016 Overseas Voting at the Philippine Embassy in Tel Aviv, State of Israel

10 April 2016, Tel Aviv, State of Israel – Overseas voting for Filipinos in Israel officially started on 9 April 2016 at 8:00 am at the Philippine Embassy in Tel Aviv.

Israel X Factor Grand Champion Rose "Osang" Fostanes was the first of the 191 Filipinos who cast their votes on the first day of the month-long overseas voting taking place at the Embassy until 9 May 2016.

With the start of the 2016 National Election overseas, the Embassy continues to actively campaign and encourage Filipinos to exercise their right to vote and participate in the election of national leaders.

There are 14,153 registered voters in Israel with 8,101 new Filipino overseas voters registered from 6 May 2014 - 31 October 2015.

With its ongoing and active campaign, the Embassy is hopeful for a higher turn-out of overseas voters in Israel.--END--
