5 February 2014 Tel Aviv, State of Israel. Children in one of the Warm Homes of the Yad B'Yad Association got more than their usual afternoon treat of games, fun learning and interaction when the Philippine Embassy, led by Ambassador Generoso D.G. Calonge, joined Ms. Shelly Hoshen, founder and President of the association, in welcoming and interacting with them on 5 February 2014. The children also got another surprise when X Factor Israel winner Ms. Rose "Osang" Fostanes showed up to regale them with her songs.

The children, who were more than happy with the visit, sang songs for and with the guests. They also gave the Embassy a collection of their drawings and a plaque of their appreciation.

The Yad B'Yad Association was founded in 1982 by Ms. Hoshen with the mission of forming and providing children, especially those who are growing in dire and difficult situations, with a good foundation to ensure them a meaningful life and a better future. The association seeks to fulfill this task by giving children a safe and nurturing place to stay after school hours while their parents are at work, especially in their early formative years. At present, the association operates 10 Warm Homes, opening its doors to children of various nationalities, including Filipinos. --END--
